Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir. –Galatians 4:6-7

Abba is a term of endearment, like “Papa” or “Daddy”. As God’s beloved children, we don’t live in perpetual fear that if we mess up, God will lose His temper, fly off the handle, and disown us. Instead, His Spirit in us draws us closer to the Father each day so that we can be more confident in His love than any other earthly relationship we will ever experience. We can climb into His lap with joy and expectation as a little child would their own “Dada.”

As you think about this scripture today, take time to write out what you're feeling the Father say to you.

-What impacted you most from the Scripture?

-What is God saying to you today?

-Write a prayer in response to God.
